This is Tony Award Winner and Grammy Award Nominee Melba Moore’s second time performing with ROLL ON! Productions. Ms. Moore is a proven veteran performer whose career can be traced back to being the first African American woman to replace a white woman, Diane Keaton, in a Broadway performance, Hair, to earning a Tony Award for her performance of LuttieBelle GussieMae Jenkins in Purlie. Ms. Moore with her superb 5-octave singing voice is being honored next year with a star on Hollywood Boulevard’s Walk of Fame. Still recording and making beautiful music, Ms. Moore has recently released a remarkable new album, Imagine.
