Asia Nina Monii’ Haynie is 23 years old, a graduate of the Vocal Department at Duke Ellington School of the Arts (Class of 2017), and now graduating Senior majoring in Music with a concentration in Vocal Performance (Opera Studies) at Morgan State University. Asia began her journey by performing at the age of four and began singing at the age of six. She has spent most of her childhood studying dance and music. At the age of six, Asia started dancing with Kankouran West African Dance Co. and was a part of the Junior company until she was nineteen. Asia plans to continue pursuing music as an Independent solo artist and becoming an educator in Music and/or African-American Studies.
